-Our turkeys are sourced from local farms which is Certified Humane by HFAC, which is an internationally accredited third party organization, upholding the highest standards of humane animal husbandry.
-Diet is a mixture of corn and soy which is high in protein and results in heartier birds, in addition vegetables which are sourced from local farms and farmers markets and include a variety of different surplus veggies, including: tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, etc.
-Farms committed to Free-range practices-birds are given access to the outdoors and allowed to graze on pasture. When not on pasture, they are housed in open air barns with plenty of natural light and are free to move around open floors with access to feed and clean water.
For the first time at Georgetown Butcher, not only will we offer a choice of having a Fresh or your turkey oven ready. It’s brined, seasoned, stuffed, trussed, veggies are ready to be roasted, and there you go!
